Kindness is an act that always has a resounding effect. Often times, kindness is a spontaneous act. The thoughts come off just like that and we find ourselves doing little things for others. Spontaneity is a good way to show kindness. And it could be anything. Random acts of kindness just come to you at the moment when the opportunity arises and this could be anywhere and with strangers. Humans often times take for granted just how powerful a simple act of kindness can be and the far-reaching effect it can have.
Money is not everything. And we don’t need to see giving as always parting with money or cash. No.
We can be wealthy with little or no money from simple gestures. Continue reading
This morning a friend sent me a text message about her mood. I looked at my phone for a moment and the rest is what you’d read below.
“Hi Stella, I don’t know how I feel. I’m Not Happy, I’m Not Sad but I feel very Empty. I mean very empty.”

I have always heard the word “summertime” and have come across it in books and watched the features of the season in movies. But I never fully understood what it meant practically.
Ah, summertime! That was the missing word from what I was already exposed to back in my homeland. It has always been there, always, with me. And I had no inkling or so I thought until a few years later when I arrived in Europe. Summertime. Sunshine. Hot sun. What is the difference between these words? Well, Nevermind. I come from a tropical region where the sun is up and high until sundown in the eventide. I have experienced serious heat waves and the severe sunburst of terrifying fiery sunlight. It burns the skin. It heats up the body to the extent of producing blocks of sweat on one’s brow. And I’m so rejoicing along with her
For having travelled down thus far. Continue reading
It’s a glowing Saturday morning here in my little abode. I’ve just returned from the gym and the only thing on my mind as I walked back home was to remind us again that He is always there for us. I hope I’d reiterate the truth to us, in case we’ve lost some hope that He makes a way, where there seems to be no way. Continue reading
“Always in life an idea starts small, it is only a sapling idea, but the vines will come and they will try to choke your idea so it cannot grow and it will die and you will never know you had a big idea, an idea so big it could have grown thirty meters through the dark canopy of leaves and touched the face of the sky.’ He looked at me and continued. ‘The vines are people who are afraid of originality, of new thinking. Most people you encounter will be vines; when you are a young plant they are very dangerous.’ His piercing blue eyes looked into mine.’ Always listen to yourself, Peekay. It is better to be wrong than simply to follow convention. If you are wrong, no matter, you have learned something and you grow stronger. If you are right, you have taken another step toward a fulfilling life.” – Bryce Courtenay, The Power of One Continue reading
