I think it’s because it has been one long month. Or maybe it’s because it has 31 days.
Or perhaps because I am just excited that the next month is February.

One of my best moments of the day is when I settle down to surf the internet. It’s a daily routine I enjoy. My companion for this daily act is always my favourite cup of tea. It keeps me warm, especially now when the cold is gathering momentum, making me reach for warmth wrapped tightly in woollen clothes.
I tell you, the thoughts of stepping outside at this time sends cold shivers all over me. It’s no longer news that I dread this harsh winter. However, it has become a necessary evil to live with so I should just learn to love it or pretend to love it, at least. But I do love the fact that it forces me to stay indoors, to hibernate and connect with my home and inner self. I guess I should stop this nagging or whining, right? Haha! Change according to the old cliché is the only constant thing in life. Change is distinct. Change occurs in our daily lives and most times, cannot be seen except one take a close and deeper look. Change must occur if we desire to move forward otherwise, one will become obsolete, redundant and complacent. Change is ephemeral. Change is normal. Start your new year with a new tradition or challenge.
I call it the jars challenge. One jar is your daily jar and one is your weekly jar. Put one dollar (use your own currency) each day in your daily jar. Your weekly jar corresponds to the week of the year.
For example, this is the first week of the year so you will put one dollar in your weekly jar. Next week two dollars, third week three dollars, etc. Of course any currency of your choice – Euro, Danish Kroners, whatever! Continue reading →
In this new year, it is pertinent to look at the past year (s) goals and assess the areas we did not record any appreciable level of success, while there is the need to adopt new measures to tackle them this year.
