“If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me” – Psalm 139:9-10 (Pius Adesanmi)
The above was His last Facebook post written at the Airport and a few hours later he died in the Air crash. The below photo was posted alongside the above quote while on a layover for his flight to Kenya from Canada.
Question: Did he have any premonitions of his death?
He was satirical and a great humorist who used his good command of languages – English, French, Yoruba and any other language that he may have picked up along the way that we know little about, to keep his readers on course in the story web.
He was a master STORYTELLER, who painted SERIOUS societal issues with our favourite colours so that we could see, notice and understand them.
What a loss of an encyclopedia of knowledge!
What a monumental loss!
Pius Adesanmi was until his death, a professor of English, and the director of the Institute of African Studies, Carleton University, Canada.
May God grant his family all that they need to accept and move on from this loss while his Soul Rests in Peace.
PS: This is my own way of grieving and mourning a close friend.
Peace and Love!
