We are often let down by the most trusted persons and loved by the most unexpected ones. Some make us cry for things that we haven’t done, while some other ignore all our faults just to see our smile. Some leave us when we need them the most, while some stick to us even when we ask them to leave. This world is a mixture of such peoples. We just need to know which hand to shake and which hand to hold! – Unknown
I believe that the above is part of human frailty that can’t be eschewed from humanity. In a nutshell, all the above have played out in my life and it’s so true! But why do some people really have to make others cry for sins they haven’t committed or for what they haven’t done?
I’d say that the above is the summary of interpersonal relationships. The success factor and a keyword here is management: Knowing those people to shake and the ones to hold. This is a composite life is made of because different types of people make up the world and discernment is necessary for human relations. Just because you are on a ride with someone doesn’t make the person your friend.
Nonetheless, I believe everyone at some point in their lives experiences this. I call it vicissitudes or life lessons. And I hope that when we are faced with such issues of life that we’d come out of the snare stronger and wiser.
Peace and Love!
