Devotional Nuggets – #81

For the Christian Family, Prayer is very important to our lives. And it should be a lifestyle already. A prayer is an invaluable tool… teaching your child (ren) how and why they should pray is important to their growth and development.

The Bible tells us that we should Pray without ceasing…. So, prayer can be likened to oxygen… A necessary tool for life. A part of an effective living.  Pray on the go. Pray always.

Helping your child develop a daily prayer life is one of the greatest gifts parents can give to them. It’s like handing them a useful key to life’s issues.

Teaching your child this lifestyle early in life will help them understand who God is and how to live a godly life. It will help to nurture their morals in a good way. It will help them lead a healthier life. And it’s also a way to acquire compassion and empathy towards their fellow humans as prayers teach us great values for humanity.

It helps them lay down their worries at the feet of Jesus Christ as they seek wisdom, and enjoy the presence of a loving God. It’s value added and a great treasure!

Let your child know that PRAYER is simply a conversation with God, one that shows respect for his unending love and power. One that brings us closer to our maker.

Encourage them to seek God’s face and take everything to God in prayer. Prayers are deeply personal, and a child’s worries and concerns change at different ages. So, encourage your child to talk to God about whatever is on their mind.

Remember, God loves to hear our every prayer. Our gratitude for life and even for the food we have. For every new day and for everything… A prayerful life is a healthy lifestyle for those who believe in the WORD of God.

Father Lord, thank you for this wonderful day. Thank you for bringing your words to us today. Make this day a good day for me and my friends here on this platform.

And guide our steps and utterances this day.  Amen.

Peace and Love!
