The Daily Prompt – Educate!

In response to today’s daily prompt, I have listed some quotes on the power of education and the need to educate our minds.  I hope you’d like them.

“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”  – Brigham Young

“Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”  – Aristotle

“Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education: they grow there, firm as weeds among stones.” –  Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

“Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another.” – G.K. Chesterton

“I’ve learned… that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.” – Andy Rooney

“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X

  1. Beautiful, Stella!! And I believe that educate comes from the stem educare, which means either to ignite or inspire. Pretty cool, huh? ❤ Thinking of peace today and it made me think of YOU! Peace and blessings, Stella -Debbie

    • I share in those sentiments too. I try to encourage people, mentor and coach people to embrace a worthy life and key nuggets of life they need to understand too. And I help when I know there is a need somewhere… Thanks for sharing your views. 🙂
