Devotional Nuggets – #75

There is need to act together for the good of all. There is need to help one another grow in our passion to write and tell our stories. There is need to cooperate.

According to the dictionary, cooperation is an act or instance of working or acting together for a common purpose or benefit. It is always a joint action by two or more people.

Cooperation seems simple: An act of working together towards a common goal for the benefit of all involved. But amazingly it can be quite challenging, even when we have so many successful examples all around us.

So how can we learn to cooperate with each other physically and spiritually?

On the physical aspect, we can gain greater perspective by trying to understand one another’s point of view, perhaps even putting ourselves in their place. We can search for commonalities as well as differences, and look for the good in different approaches. This becomes easier when we let go of the necessity to be right and see others point of view as wrong.

We can also exchange valuable information and advice. If you know something that will benefit another person, or enhance that person’s production capacity, it will be profound to inform that person and give out such info.

On the spiritual aspect, we can intercede and fill in the gap with prayers for one another. This chain of cooperative prayer is so vital because sometimes, a person can be ill or not in the right frame of mind to pray but because he/she is involved in a prayer cooperation chain, the Holy Spirit will not depart from them. Hmmn, my faith is working here. I am here to write what is pressed upon my heart.

Today, we are going to engage in spiritual cooperation, thereby praying for one another. This is what the Bible says about praying together (cooperation).

Matthew 18: 19-20.  Verse 19 says – “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.” Verse 20 says – “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

In conclusion of this Sunday motivation, I pray in agreement with everybody that is reading this message. Father in Heaven, as we gather together in spiritual cooperation prayer chain, Lord grant us victory, success and triumph in all our human endeavours for the rest of this year in the name of Jesus Christ.

Peace and Love!
