That particular Saturday, I had dressed casually to meet him, unaware of his feelings for me. Unaware of what was going to happen. I knew I had already fallen for him but I didn’t have the courage to tell him so. No. I am a lady and it’s better to be wooed by him, I teased myself. Even John too was love-struck though nothing betrayed his feelings.
He was the head of our project group and we had scheduled to meet at the University Park to look at our presentation slated in a few days. Suddenly, he ran his fingers through my hair and startled me. It was quick and fast as he rested his lips against mine. I wanted to shake him off but the sweet fragrant smell from his body pulled me closer to him. He kissed me intensely and my whole world fell apart. It was slow, soothing and tender.
I ran my fingers down his spine and drew him even closer to me until I could feel the beating of his heart against my chest. We were locked together like two teenagers in love. And when we finally stopped kissing, we realised we’ve bottled up our feelings for too long. That first kiss was all it took to unlock a great relationship that I’ve come to love so tenderly.
