Devotional Nuggets – #56

Christmas is three days away and 2016 is fast exiting the scene. It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that I am alive, hale and hearty. Not everyone who started this journey in 2016 is here today with us. You know what I mean. We are only here because of HIS grace not because we are perfect or righteous. So for that I am grateful and thankful. And I hope you feel the same way too…!

Have you been pondering about your achievements for the year? Do you feel disappointed with yourself that your plans didn’t work out as you envisaged it at the beginning of the year? Are you worried about the times you have invested yet no appreciable success with your visions? Well, I want you to know that this is a pattern of life. Life is never a smooth sail. However, there is a solution to it.

Every new day gives us an opportunity for fresh thoughts. A chance to improve on areas that we have failed before.  Perhaps, you have exhausted all options in your Plan A… Now, it’s time to adopt Plan B. What is this plan B? Some people map out strategies to fall back on if their plan A fails. But incase you don’t have a back-up plan, here is another way to go around it.

Dear friends, no matter how and what you have invested in your first plan, ideas, or projects (marriage, relationships, friendships, work, school, start-ups etcetera), be ready to embrace change.  You cannot always be at the same place you have to move sometimes. You cannot always put up that attitude that is leading you no where and expect fabulous results. You cannot always nag all day with your partner and expect peace in your home. You cannot always expect success when you… do not act accordingly.

Behold, I will do a new thing – says the Lord in Isaiah 43:19. If you don’t think of new ideas you will get stucked. Open your heart to new things that God wants to do in your life. Be vigilant and pray for the spirit of discernment to enable you see opportunities that may be disguised in challenges. Embrace change when it comes for that might be your answered prayers.

May we all enjoy the holidays and festivities in happiness and good cheer.

Peace and Love!
