The seasons of life and the seasons of time changes. There are seasons and times for everything in nature.
The Bible tells us in Eccl 3: 1. To Everything There is a Season.
“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.
A time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.…”
This emphatically reminds us that in human affairs, Providence arranges the seasons of life. The time and period when things happen. How it happens and the operational mechanisms. The duration of every season depends on how Nature designs it. There is a time to be born, a time to die, a season of plenty and lean season. There is Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. And the Harmattan for tropical zones.
I would like to give a brief analysis based on my perceptions of life and living. From the above scriptural perspective, since there is a time appointed for everything, it means that one should apply wisdom and seriousness when dealing with life situations and happenings.
However, some of the happenings and exigencies of life are beyond our control. For instance, the circumstances of birth and death are obviously beyond human control.
Everything appear beautiful in its season.
Take the seasons of the weather for example: They appear distinct and beautiful. I love the autumn leaves as they fall on the ground and form new carpets for us to march on. I love the shine and glow in Spring and Summer.
There is a time for the flowers and the trees to bloom, blossom, shine and wither away.
I love life itself.
Life may be here today but not guaranteed the hope of tomorrow. Life dies!
Just like the trees that shed their leaves in the autumn, they are ripped off their honour and stay naked until Mother Nature allows the leaves to grow again.
Such is life’s journey. Sometimes it is all well and good, other times it is painful and sad. Life and death is a must for anything that has got life.
Peace and Love!
