Hallelujah, it’s mid-week and the thought of the weekend, which is fast approaching is heart-warming. Yes! I am warming up to have a great weekend because my ‘godson’ turns ONE on Saturday… so it’s going to be a busy weekend laced with fun. I happen to be the one organizing the party too so my hands are really full this week. Lol.
Hey, another day has broken and I am rejoicing because I have an opportunity to be in your face again. How are you this morning? What is your feeling frequency? Are you good? Try to be happy and kick negative feeling out of the door. 🙂
It’s time for some motivation to kick-start our day. So get up, get a cuppa and let’s digest these words together.
Do you trust that God can really take care of you?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Pro 3: 5-6 NKJV).
If you find yourself trying to control every detail and aspect of your life, try using these strategies for developing the right mind-set:
- Understand that you are not an independent, self-sufficient being. ‘…We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture’ (Psalms 100:3 NKJV). Sheep cannot take care of themselves; they need the shepherd to feed them, lead and protect them. I hope you know this in your heart.
- When the unexpected happens, practise responding calmly. God is never taken by surprise. What seems like a crisis is often an opportunity for Him to demonstrate His love and care for us.
- Focus on the internal and leave the external to God. Once you settle within yourself that you cannot control most external happenings, but only your internal responses to them, you’ll be able to stop stressing out over the uncontrollable and the inevitable.
When things get to this stage, it will be advisable to take a deep breath to slow the flow of adrenaline. As you breathe out, expend your energy not on worrying but on saying a silent prayer, by turning the problem over to the one who knows best how to handle everything, – our God.
Realise that His plans for your life have not been derailed. ‘You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed’ (Psalms 139:16 NLT).
From the above, you can see why you need not freight too much over ugly events beyond your control. My lovelies, stop trying to control everything. Control your reactions… and don’t get too overwhelmed! Let God handle his own part by formally presenting your situation to him.
Have a beautiful day trusting that He is more than able.
Peace and Love!
