Devotional Nuggets – #39

Sometimes we battle with our thoughts because our mind is telling us to let go of certain things. To drop certain habits, end some bad relationships that has negative influence on us, change our ideologies, change our jobs and the list goes on…

I want to believe you have had occasions when you are troubled within your soul because God is asking you to let go of something. I tell you, it’s always a difficult decision to take.

When God asks you to let go of something, just do it. Sometimes, we think of letting go as a sign of weakness and somehow difficult. But in reality, it is a sign of strength. A strength to finally let go of the idea that we know what’s best for us.

The truth is that when we obey his instructions, often times, he leads us to a better door. He blesses us with even a better thing than we first had. This things may not make sense at the beginning but the moment you ‘reluctantly’ let go, that glimmer of hope will shine again and you will be amazed what unfolds next.

Don’t be afraid to let go of whatever is not adding value to your life. Don’t be afraid to give up on certain habits. Don’t be afraid to close certain doors… new doors always open up! Yes, they do!!!

Today, as you move forward and obey, believe that God will give you much more than the things He asked you to let go of.  His words in 2 Chronicles 25:9, gave us an assurance that –  “The Lord is able to give you much more than that.”

I pray that God will replenish us in far better ways than we can ever imagine in areas we are depleted.

Peace and Love!
