Are We Really On A Journey?

Life is like a journey on a train…

  • With many different stations
  • With changes of routes…
  • And with all manner of accidents!

We board this train when we are born and our parents provided us with the tickets.

We believe they will always travel on this train with us. However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey.

As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant in our lives. Those are our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our lives.

Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives.

Many will go so unnoticed that we won’t even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train.

This train ride will be full of different emotions – Happiness, Joy, Sorrow, Pain, Fantasy, Expectations, Hellos, Good-bye and Farewells.

However, there are two sets of people one will never forget throughout the journey in this train. Those are the people that causes us problems and heart aches in life and the people that provides us comfort and solutions to life issues.

A good train journey entails helping, loving, and having a good relationship with all co-passengers… As we progress on the journey, we try to exhibit good humour so others in the train can be comfortable in the journey. We try our best to make the journey comfortable for everyone by helping others in different capacities.

The mystery of this eventful journey called life is that:

  •  We do not know at which station we are going to get off.

Therefore, we must live in the best way possible. We should learn to adjust to changes as they occur, pray for the ability to forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have.

Further, we should endeavour to accept others opinions and remain humble. Contentment is the game of a healthy life so we should learn to be content with what providence has provided for us.

  • It is worthy to make time for people we care about.

It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to leave our seats… we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on this train of life.

Thank you for being one of the important passengers in this journey called LIFE.

PS: I got this as a WhatsApp message sometimes back. As I stumbled on it again today, I thought it was an interesting read to share here –  after some tweaking though! 🙂

Peace and Love!

    • So true that we should all try to take note of the important pointers in some of these ‘life’ messages and remember to apply them in our lives. I feel happy that you left this wonderful comment. Thanks a bunch. 🙂
